petermorville001 Peter Morville's career started with an advanced degree in library and information science from the University of Michigan's School of Information.  He has since become an internationally recognized consultant and thought leader in Information Architecture and Findability.

In this free ranging conversation we discuss some of the issues that his books Information Architecture for the World Wide Web and Ambient Findability, address, and the way search and findability are handled on the web today. The conversation is even more interesting because of Peter's library science background.

In our latest Talking with Talis podcast, I talk with Mills Davis about Semantic Technologies and his work with Project 10X on the prospects for the Semantic Wave.

During our conversation, we look at Mills' assertion that Semantic Technology will be a $52.4bn market by 2010, and dig into the importance of the consumer internet in driving the next generation of semantic applications. We touch upon some of the findings in a new Project 10X report, to be released over the summer.

Talis talks with Trevor Owens from Zotero

Trevor Owens In this Talking with Talis podcast, I talk with Trevor Owens, Technology Evangelist at Zotero.

Zotero, is a simple free web browser plug-in for capturing and organizing citations and other web resources.   The Zotero project has its home at the Center for History and New Media at George Mason University in Fairfax Virginia.

Trevor discusses the plug-in tool, its use and the community that supports it.  We then move on to future releases of which will include access to servers, and hence the development of shared data.
